I've wanted a tireflator since I was kid in the 1970's. I've always thought they were nifty little units but the prices kept me away from buying one for a while. A few weeks ago I bought this one and restored it. The base was broken so I fabricated a new corner piece and welded it together (being cast I preheated the base with a torch before welding it). A little body filler to even out a few spots and that was done. I replaced the diaphram, a gasket, and bent a replacement copper line that was cracked. After all the cleaning up and prepping, I painted it using single stage urethane primer and paint. Bolted on the new parts, wired in a light socket and wah-lah! Looks good and works too. Here are some pics.

Thanks, I actually have four that I've restored right now, and another one waiting to get torn down. They're fascinating to me for some reason and I enjoy the process of refurbishing them.

Here are a few pics of them.

Thanks. I see you love Sinclair, I'm working on restoring a gilbarco salesmaker and here's my design for a sinclair pump (as well as a photo of the current condition). I'm hoping to get it done within the next four weeks.
