Hello, folks. While digging through a closet here at a 101 year old denim workwear factory, I cam across a box full of patches. Can y'all have a look at these and tell me what we have? Full size image: http://i.imgur.com/4Hmtqbb.jpg

That is an unbelievable collection. Those are mint. I dont collect patches but they would look incredible in a case.

Fantastic! I'd say they date between the late 1930s (Ford V8) and the late 50s (Civil Defense). I'd have to do a lot of research to date some of them.

it looks like you've hit the mother load- congratulations, alot of patches there I've never seen... I was in to patches and had a bunch of them. I agree with Randy. Beautiful!

I had never seen those Havoline Patches...Wonder how they used them? Have seen lots of shirts and coats with Texaco patches...

Nice find! I would be crying if you had posted images of any Associated/Tydol/Veedol and/or any Flying A patches I don't have... By chance if you do find any patches, especially large Tydol patches.... Please, keep me in mind.... I was able to scarf up this 8" Tydol "back uniform patch"; a couple of weeks ago.... And the metal hard hat a couple of days earlier....

We probably sewed a lot of these onto coveralls and uniforms.
Thanks a lot for the feedback! We will start figuring out a display case.
