have pair of 16.5 inch metro lens and just bought a rusty globe body and got it sand blasted was wondering what color metro used and if anyone had a paint code that was close that i can use just painting globe to display with others

If I'm understanding the globe CD, this would be the only 16.5" lens. So assuming this is a 100% original globe, then I guess it's silver.

not my pic found on google my lens look like this mabey they were a mobil gas color i think metro was bought out by mobil gas

Well there you go then. Red it is!
CD doesn't show that lens in 16.5", so I dont know what that means. Beyond my skill level.

Mobil collectors book shows it but not a body color. I would go with red or green. You can always repaint it again

So Dick, is that an original painted globe? Which would answer the OP's question that it should be red.

I've had it soo long, I don't remember when/where I bought it!
Because the snap rings are not painted, Probably NOT.
