Bryce, I stopped bidding on the ciities oil spouts at $180 with another 23% in fees. There were some items I've never seen before. In general I found the prices were high with the buyers premium 10% and the HST tax of 13%.

those Cities oil spouts always seem to bring crazy money, at least to me it seems crazy... guess thats why I only have 1 spout.
its too bad they grouped all the cans, there were a couple I wanted, but was not willing to pay 3x or 4x my bid for the other cans that were included in the lot

What would the top dollar be on a sign like this just wondering. its all a matter of opinion... to me, I prefer the version with the white outline, but I don't think it is necessarily worth more. judging from the one picture, that sign looked near perfect. I would say $7-8k. The buyers premium + tax probably kept bids down as well

$4700 plus 10% plus 13% = $5842.00 and if your an online bidder it is $4700 plus 15% plus 13% plus shipping ?? = $6107.00.. So it's getting close to the real value...

i will agree to that... always prefer buying face-to-face at a show or from another collector one thing to note about this sign... it most likely went to the US. Purchases made & shipped to the US from this auction, were not subject to the 13% sales tax... and also the US dollar is slightly higher than the CAD. So for a US buyer you are looking at $4700 + 15% BP = $5405 CAD = $5000 USD
