There is hours of prep work that is not shown. Everything laid out in order. Veeder Root & ELP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opY6deKk0ZYTrilogy DB, Really there is nothing to it. Just take it all the way apart and put everything back together like it is supposed to go, and it will work.

Joe, By adding a smidgen of door jamb grease/wax to side of wheel to hold the spacer, you wouldn't be dropping them by using your big fingers getting them in!

Thanks Guys, I dropped the shims because all of them were not needed and would not fit, so I had to eliminate a few. Shimming is very important for gear mesh & wheel play. Keeping you fingers grease free & clean is important also. DB, the first computer I did, was just changing wheels, it took over 7 hours to get it working again. I didn't know how I got it working right. It took a few years before I understood most of it, several more years to fully understand it. Nobody ever taught me anything, all trial & error. Take it apart, clean it, put it back together, no problem.

Most things were that way w/o the internet to ask & get almost instance answers. US Old Farts made many mistakes & are still making a few because of Pride & Understanding how some things work. Not like some of the new guys here that have no idea how to simply THINK things out [HELL, quite a few have problems just posting pictures [It's too Hard ], BUT THINK they can Restore Pumps!].

Back when I restored electrics, no one sole repro parts. Had to rob other pumps. We had to make / restore faces , there were none at first, unitll Scobie. His first catalog was 3 xeroxed pages of hands and clock faces
