Bought a couple of trays of smalls at the Morphy auction. These match books were among the stuff. Really like graphics ones and especially the Sunoco with matches shaped like a clock face pump. They had a little note that said 1991 and that they were 50 yrs old. Makes them over 70 now. Anyone else have these? Can't say I've seen them before or at least didn't pay attention. Shell jumbo matches are cool too.

Those are some great covers! Ive been collecting MBC's since I was about 10 (25 now). Majority of mine are flats (matches removed) but I have a few that are full.

They certainly are a great item to collect, especially for someone young. It gets them interested in the hobby and KEEPS them interested (AKA ME). For the most part they are extremely affordable. Even some of the earlier graphic ones can be had for less than $5 bucks a piece.

Ten years later, I have well over 1000 covers in my collection. All automotive/gas/oil related and I love every single one of them.

Here are a few pictures of my features, since that what is being discussed here.

You also mentioned the large Shell one. Here are a few of my favorite jumbo covers.

And last but not least, a few of my favorites. As you can tell I have a special weakness for automotive covers vs gas/oil. ESPECIALLY Chevrolet.

Sorry to hijack your post Greg! I hope everyone enjoys these little masterpieces as much as I do.

Matchbooks in general are great, IMO...

But, features with the fantastic graphics on the matches themself... Well..... LOL

I collect only Tydol and Veedol... I wish I had room to display features from other Oil Companies and other Auto related products, because as has been shown... They are something else...

My little collection:

Great collection Keith! Love yours too Bob. I really had no idea these were out there. I'll keep my eye out for more feature match books.

Greg,
Picked up my first set at Iowa about 8 years ago. They are a neat little collectible. Looks like I'll have some competition now!
