The signs with serifs on the letters are earlier - mid to late 30's - early 40's is a close range in my opinion. The block style letters came along mid 40's and were used through the 50's I believe. I have seen Super Service signs with blue "tips" on one page of a sign catalog and then same style signs with black tips on the next page of the catalog?? I'll take them any way I find them smile

Rob & Randy,

What is the SIZE for your signs?

Reason I am asking because Bryce mentioned: "i have seen black ends on the larger version".

Thanks,

Hen

48- 1/2 inches Hen That is fromb black bowtie end to end. I have been swamped with emails from people that know me wanting to know if I want to sell it. I just want a super chevy sign over my car collection especially my ZR1 and my 95 1500 to 2,000 hp drag racing camaro. I am so confused now I have no idea and, at 62 I should know the difference as I started in my late 20s and have had several beautiful ones in the 80s. thanks Hen, Rob

Thanks Rob, Randy & Bryce for the information. Now, I am more confused ... wink

So, here are couple of Q's for you ...

1- Did GM make all "SINAGE" for their dealers?

2- Dealers were authorized to make their own (GM provided Art work)?

Could #2 be reason why there are different signs(different font, color, and size) out there?

Thanks,

Hen
