eBay item number 221541665415

So it's on eBay for $750 with make offer and I seen it on oldgas for $850?

So does people think oldgas is full of idiots? $750 is still double what it's worth.

This place kills me.
What do you guys think?

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Some sellers on here seem to think every item they "pick" is worth 2, 3, or 4 times the generally accepted scope of value of said item. There are several on the site that come to mind....the subject of DB and my last conversation last Wednesday evening. I understand anyone is free to ask whatever they want for their items, but as John wrote, for most of this it isn't our first rodeo.
I can't help but look at posts in the for sale section and other areas and think to myself, WWDBS?....What Would DB Say?! smile I will be doing this for quite some time, hearing in my head what comments Dick would be making, as I will miss his directness even though it was hard for some to take.

Where do you draw the line. What if I bought a collection of grade 5 junk and over the next 6 months listed 10 items a day on this site for sale and then bumped them every day for a couple days.....and priced them 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 25x market value because an antique dealer told me that there is always a dummy in the crowd.

Rare prestone thermometer 2500 obo.....This is what it's going to turn into. Every loyal ethical long standing member sees it coming

Last time I posted FWIW some people scratched their heads. But Darin you gave us a new one with WWDBS. Or WWDBThink and WWDBDo? No one will scratch their heads on what it means but what would have DB's response been! I like it!

They were asking $1500 for pair... Them posted $850 but have them on eBay for $750.

This site is full of knowledgeable collectors... Don't come here thinking it's eBay and hoping to find some ***** pay you twice what it's worth.
If you don't know value... Ask. There not rare... Not in excellent shape as paint is about gone.

The price I have posted here on the oldgas for sale forum is $850 for the PAIR including shipping.

They are also listed on Ebay for $750 EACH OBO
