Hi guys and gals,

I just joined today as I came across this sight when I was looking for info on a sign I picked up a while back. The story I got on this sign was the following:

This was on the north side of Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada). The original owner told me that there was a Richfield station up there for a short time when they tried to penetrate into Canada. He noted that this sign was the road side sign used at the station. Not sure how accurate he was - does anyone know anything about this (it is painted steel)

I believe that is one of Richfield's first curb signs.

Thanks ! would the story about Vancouver Island make sense - would this be from the 20's or likely 30's-40's?

Sounds quite plausible? Great sign in any case and one worthy of owning no matter what side of the border its on.

Thanks guys - makes sense on the 1928 side. I was not sure if that was the actual date of mfg or just a generic copyright (I am a big bike geek, a whole bunch of stuff in the bike world is pat. or c. one date with a later date of mfg).

I appreciate the help all,

Tom from Vancouver
