FYI "One-Shot" products has a clear that can be used over vinyl decals & sign letters...I'm sure other companies offer the same. I have used their paint but have not cleared over vinyl.

Kim:

It's not the vinyl I'm worried about - it's the inks. These are water-soluable UV inks and I haven't tried clearing over them yet. It may work - but someone needs to try it first before I'm going to tell everyone that it can be done.

The offer stands. If anyone wants to do a 'test' panel, drop me a line and I'll get a decal out to you to try.

Later . . .

Jim

I would just mist it verry slowly and wait untill each coat dries good untill youre sure you have it coated good and may be even let it dry and knock it down with 600 before you burry it with 3-4 good coats. This is how i do water transfers. I have cleared over vinyl tape with no problem but havent tried the water color stuff I think patience can get it done. I will be doing some painting this week I would be happy to try it.
Thanks
Brandon
