I found this bottle of Varsity Gasket Cement from 1937 and I thought you folks might like having a look: http://www.oak-hill.net/shawn/gasket.htm
The bottle is 4” tall with a cork plug and wood top; the cement is still in liquid form.
I thought it was cool!

Cool bottle with that cork/wood closure, Shawn. I'm a sucker for auto paint cans with pictures of old cars on them. Here is a primer can from Varsity. It also has that 1937 copyright date on it, but I thought the can looked newer than that.

Hi, I collet polishing cloth tins and here is a Varsity with the same can design as used in the 50's. Too bad this can isn't mine :-( I thing this shows that Varsity used this logotype either for a long time, or, marked their product with the copytight date. Anyoun have more input?
regards Claes

How very cool! I had searched the net over and could not find any Varsity products of reference to the company. After posting here I learn that they also made primer and polishing products. What Fun!
I am not sure how the 1937 copyright date relates to the date the products were made though. Could the copyright date be in relation to the logo?
