I just had Frank Jones restore a Hayes visible for me:

globe basically balancing on top of my pump. I talked about this with Frank, and he came up with the idea
of tapping the 4 ribs in the bonnet, and using tabs screwed into the bonnet that tie to the piece that sits on
top of the cylinder. This piece is held tight on the pump with the top cap (which you can't see because of
the bonnet). I'm attaching a picture, but because of the colors, it's almost impossible to see the tabs. You can
see 2 of the four stainless steel screws, which is where the tabs are located.
