any one out there know anything about 12 inch/ 11 3/4 shell porcelain being repoped? some on ebay seem to have a different type of grommet-- star shaped or split on the back side and others are a plain ring.there are a few I want to bid on and just wondering about these.thanks much for ny kind of info

Pretty much every one you find on ebay is a fake.

That particular sign is a fantasy "pump plate"

That Golden color pump plate is fake. That style was used as a decal on pumps of that era I believe. The red and yellow is the real deal, four grommets and a black backing.

Agree,also some will say,--"made in USA" near the bottom,but not all,different maker?

Yes, all the the plates I've ever seen in real life say "made in usa"

Not all the pp say made in u.s.a. As seen in my picture I posted yesterday.There must of been different manufacturers.
