Did you see the COTM series on Associated/Tide Water/Veedol?

http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=382694

Been quite a while since I last looked at the thread... Both Veedol_AL and I have been busy adding new items to our collections, sometimes "fighting over" items.... LOL

I picked up this combo; A few weeks ago:

Thanks Bob, funny story I was on my way to a meeting and it was pushed back two hours so I figured I would burn some time at an antique mall I saw. When I got there I saw a guy walking into the mall with the oil bottles and asked him if he was a dealer and he said yes, so the bottles where bought before he got to his booth.

I forgot to post this flying A clock I have. I don't who or why it was created but who ever did it did a cool job. If anyone has an idea as to what or why I sure would like to know. Thanks, Les.

It will look excellent in a display next to my 1946 Tydol "Giant Power" Map!

Wade, I'm not sure? Good question...

In my collection, I have 4 different Tydol Motor Oil cans... I'm sure that AL has more different versions than I... As probably do many others here on Oldgas...

I was able to pick up 1/2 of a Flying A Tire Stand, which I paired up with a similar style Federal Tire Stand...

I think it looks pretty good with my Flying A Tire in it:

I just need to find another Flying A Tire for my other Flying A Tire Stand (1 Tire and 2 Stands, is nice but 2 Tires will be much better!):

Great grabs Kurt!
Bob, I have a suggestion until you get another tire. See if you like having one on top of the tire, upside down so that the 2 are both on the tire or you could put them both on the ground inline and then put the tire in them both or between the 2??

Thanks,

In 1933; Tide Water Oil had a Promotion advertising that Tydol Gasoline and Veedol Motor Oils were "Life Preservers for your Car"... They put forth Road Maps, post cards and blotters in support of the Promotion; and those items were all I knew of.

And then this showed up on Ebay and I had to jump on it before AL saw it...:

1933 Road Map and Child's cloth Promotional "Sailors Hat"(dated inside 1933 along with a note of where the hat was acquired):
