Today when I was attending the ceremony where my oldest son received his Green Barret (he is a Combat boat driver/navigator in the Swedish Marines), I also found this model of Ljungmans gas pump. It is a commercial pump that I have never seen before. This one was put into service in october 1964, and is a sort of clock face with the scale showing thousands of litres. Used to fuel the combat boats. brgds Claes [This message has been edited by fast66 (edited 06-20-2006).]

Hi, I believe the pump to be from 1964, possibly it had been manufactured for a couple of years before that. It is fairly large, perhaps 5 feet high.
I have emailed a contact I have on Ljungmans pump Company (now Wayne/Dresser) to see if he can find out something about it. He has helped me before with pictures and copies of older litterature. He has sent my info to a guy responsible for the company museeum :-) maybe he knows. He even found a guy who had been working at the Marine base, but this guy didn't remember the pump. They think it could be a "Codab meter" in a Ljungmans "shell".
I also asked him about the rifle manufacturing, and he told me they were making rifles during WW2!
thanks, Claes
