The guy said he wants $1200 for the pair but has a guy on the way to get them. I offered $1000 for the Cosden he refused my offer. I think the ad is a hoax. He said he figured the signs were worth $1200 each but only wants $1200 for the pair.

??? So... because the seller is a stand up guy, and is not screwing over the original buyer by taking your offer, you think it's a hoax?? Sounds like he's a man of his word. Nice to know SOME sellers still have integrity...

This guy was a total a hole towards me for no reason. Still think it was a bogus ad.

I have to say I'm with Dennis on this one. If someone tells me they're on their way... I will not entertain any other offers. My integrity is very important to me. He may have been a jerk because he felt you were trying to get him to compromise his. Just my 2 cents based on very little info.

I was going to buy my first pump off an ad on Craigslist got in the truck after making sure the fluids was topped off since it was a 71 Chevy and a little bit of a drive started on the road after talking to the guy told him I was on the way and i wanted it a 15-20 mins later he had his wife call me to say he sold it but took the pump plate off and I could still buy the sign if I wanted to knowing I was on my way to buy it

I agree with Dennis. This is one of the reasons why I don't shop on Craigslist.

I personally, have no respect for someone that sells an item knowing that another person is on their way. I have even less use for someone who makes an offer knowing that an item has been promised to someone else. Both are extreme low lifes in my books.
