10 year's ago today, Chevron completed its purchase of Unocal (Union 76). I remember the day well,
as it was my daughter's 25th birthday. I spent almost 28 years with Union, working right up to the end.
My wife's grandfather started with Union in 1905. I still have difficulty filling up at Chevron stations
today. Below is a picture of the final trading day of Union's stock. Also below is a copy of the cover of
Union's history book, from 1890 to 1990. I managed to rescue a few of these when I left, and I offered
them for free 10 years ago. That offer is good today --- just pm me your address, and I'll send you a copy.

Many thanks to Dan for generously sending me a copy of this great history book. If you are a Union collector, it should be in your library if it isn't already. I was surprised that Dan shared with me I was the only person initially that responded to his offer. The book is loaded with great photos, and goes along great with "The 76 Bonanza" book from 1966.
