Getting close to the best gas bash in California. Talked to Fred Stoke this morning. The date is a week later thanks to Tom Stover who can't get his vacation schedule in on time. No problem Tom you are forgiven because you put in a lot of work. Just checking to see who is coming for sure. Fred says a lot of vendors are coming in. Should be bigger than ever. I am bringing new people with me. My wifes cousin and his wife will be there. He drinks the bullets also so stock up. My daughter and a friend of hers is also supposed to come. If you need to contact anyone because you did not get a flyer call Fred Stoke at 707 542 2699 or Bill Campbell 408 297 8857.Now check in and report for roll call. HAGD. Ted

Hubba I can't believe you aren't coming. I'll throw in $10 to the fund because I have about half the money Elden does. Ha Ha. Tom is too skinny for the Hula skirt. Maybe put Tim and Tom in it. We have way too much fun for you to bail buddy. Ted

OK, I'll take the blame!!! When one of the guy's that signed up for vacation at the same time you did hands you your paycheck........he goes first! Talked to The Hub yesterday, I'm working on him but no luck so far. Gary, don't forget the merlot & I won't forget your signs! Looks like I'll have to make more room in "Ted's corner" since Tim is setting up & Ted is bringing people (& dogs) with him. Extra bullets too!!! Butch Greer is coming out with a trailer, don't know if he's bringing a load or planning on taking a full trailer home. 23 days....California here I come!!!!!

Gary I think Bill is looking for lubesters also, maybe you should bring a dozen or so.Tom bought a marble sign for you last weekend.I saw it and it's pretty nice.Do you think $500 was too much to pay?
See you in a couple weeks! Tim

Talked to Fred earlier tonight. The phone has been ringing off the hook. I think we'll have more sellers than last fall. Fred is cleaning house & he'll have alot of stuff for sale. If you're looking for a visable, talk to Fred; he has quite a few & some are for sale. Now if I can just remember to bring those marble signs for Gary......although I also heard Bill is looking for them.

Tim already had heart surgery & I think I have so much drain bamage that the two of us are beyond help. See you in 16 days!!!!

OK, I've enlisted help for putting everyone in their spaces. Tim's (tjhvintage) wife Sue is now the official ENFORCER. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT mess with her. She has full authorization from Fred & myself to take any & all means necessary for crowd control. She will be checking for alcohol (& confiscating what we need) at the entrance so bring some good merlot & silver bullets & we'll all get along just fine!!!! P.S. Bill, we'll save you a killer spot away from Gary & Randy!!!

I'll be coming from So. Calif. with a trailer. If anyone needs something brought up, maybe I can help? Also, if you are bringing a pump along, or know someone who is, can you send me a note at : oltoydoc@pacbell.net
Quite a few I still need. Like a Tokheim 34, or that Erie Cash Recorder, or the Tokheim 36ADC display case pump. Yes, Yes, I am a dreamer! haha

What are the options for places to stay up there? Thinking about making the drive from Solvang and need a place to land on Friday or Saturday night. I will be sure and bring you guys some good wine from Santa Barabara County so you don't have to drink that Napa/Sonoma stuff. Might throw in some of our local "Firestone" beer too, especially if you have a place for me to stay.

Curt, I sent you an e-mail with all pertinent info. If you need more info, e-mail me again. Yes, please bring some local good stuff, we'd love to compare it to the Sonoma Valley's finest; also the Firestone brew, hope it doesn't taste like retreads!!!! Talked to Fred tonight, if you have thought about attending, do it!!!! This is going to be the biggest one yet!!!!!! Pumps galore!!!!!!!!!! See everyone in 1 week!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the directions. The Poor Man is going to attempt to make it up the coast to the Big Bash. I just emptied my change drawer for gas money and it looks like I'm short so I will start hitch hiking on Wednesday to make it on time. Would appreciate a ride if you LA guys see me on the way up. Look for me, I will be carrying one case of Firestone Beer (yes they are related to the tire guys, no it doesn't taste like rubber) and a couple of bottles of Firestone Wine. Also will pick up any marble signs along the way.

I am looking for the cheap stuff so keep it under the tables until I get there. I can trade the following for your best bargains: Firestone Beer, Firestone Bottle Caps and any marble signs that I pick up along the way. May also still have a hundred or so dollars if the hitch hiking is successful since that's less than what it would have cost me for the two tanks of gas.
See you all in Santa Rosa!

Just passed up three lubesters today for 40 bucks. Told the guy no way I'd pay that much when I could pay double in Santa Rosa. Picked up the case of Firestone beer tonight, so if they last until Wednesday I'll bring the case, otherwise I will have some extra bottle caps to trade and I'll pick up another case before I leave. Haven't picked up the wine yet, I'm still letting it age. Going to meet Dick Bennet at the Pomona Swap Meet tomorrow, so that means I'll have less to spend in Santa Rosa so make sure you hold onto the cheap stuff for me. Thanks for all the help on directions and accomodations.

Gary, I think Bill likes to buy in volume. Bring all the lubester's you can fit on your trailer. He'll probably take 'em all! I'm making a special place in the truck for your marble signs. They'll be well protected.

Say there Gary, if you didn't buy so much wine when you go to Fred's you could cut your costs in half & have more room in that pickup for gas goods.

Nope, Da El Camino is staying out of this weather & the sad part is looks like I may sell it this next year. Man I've got a ton in that car, but have new fish to fry I guess.

Just got off the phone to Fred Stoke and everthing is in good shape. He put down some new rock and the area for the gas bash is drying good. The wheather should be super by Friday and no rain until late Saturday. Fred says it is going to be the biggest yet. With Roy Reed out of the picture the southern CA. guys are ready. Tom Stover is there and arrived safely and hard at work. See you there. Ted

I didn't get a flyer either. They had problems. It's near Old Redwwod highway and Fulton Rd. Santa Rosa. I don't have exact address on old redwood highway. Ted

Got back from the bash about two hours ago. It was great seeing many of you there. Had hoped to make some deals today but with the rain and everyone racing to the exit that wasn't in the cards. Next time I hope to make it to the early swap.

Whew, got back here to PNW about 1 o'clock this morning. Easy drive back home. Too bad the rain didn't hold off for about 6 more hours. It was great to see everybody again. Missed ya Hubba!!!!!!! Gary & Randy, nice recovery for Steve's dinner on Friday!!! The "Lodi corner" was in fine form as usual! Hey Dwaine, wanted to let you know I found my pants. As always, great stuff showed up & the vendors that I talked to said they were happy with sales. We're already gearing up for May 2005. I'll post the date as soon as we finalize it. Thanks again for your support & participation. It wouldn't work without you guys (& gals!!!). See you in '05, can hardly wait.

We just got back. You guys must drive fast. No, we went on over to Bodega Bay for the rest of the weekend. A little crowded with all the stuff we were hauling. Good to meet Tim's wife Sue she should get best salesperson award. Tom made the Lodi corner more than special as always. We had a great barbeque Fri. for whoever came by that we knew. Had a lot of strangers wanting to buy burgers hot dogs and sausage. Maybe we should sell food and forget the gas stuff. Looking forward to the next one. Hubba you better be there. Ted and Pam
