Try to make this short as possible. My sister recently went through a large box of old picture slides that my mother had that had belonged to her father. In them she found these. My mother, who was born in 1935, and remembered a story about her dad driving cars out in the desert for Lincoln for testing (car in pics is 1946 Lincoln). So Sis came across these Texaco gas stop pics and had them enlarged and framed up for my brother in law who collects Texaco. Unfortunately for me, gramps never did any drive testing in the east. So no Sunoco pics frown
Love the Gripe Az. hand painted sign (I wonder if that is Texaco porcelain under there. And the Texaco globe in the second pic is awesome!!!
Just thought I would share. I trade to locate these locations on google maps for a "then & now", but no luck.

Sooooo, was that a painted over sign??? all those fasteners along the ring looks like one of the Texaco ones with all the holes. I don't know, just thinking out loud.
