What are the real specs? I'd like to pick up a Diesel plate to match my globe but I wouldn't know a real vs repo.

Diesel Chief most common size is 12x18 Here is a link to fake vs real. Texaco diesel sign If you find one and wonder if its real or not ask here on oldgas.

8x12 is.. "almost".. as rare as the wide spray and Diesel one. Most reproductions have been in the 12x18 size... Now it seems 8x12s are starting up.
