Interesting sale before columbus no commission or fees charged to seller to help keep prices down. I consigned 40 signs but they already have 750 + on their flyer. Should be an interesting sale this is not an auction all items are pre priced

Are you saying this could become a dumping ground sale for questionable signage. My thought also. No reflection on Essco,sure there will be lot of good stuff,thanks for posting. Interesting sale approach, could be a early bird natch and grab.

Got a few pics of the sale . I think no fees to seller is awesome and like to see them do it next year. They haven't advertised as much as I'd like to see but they are definitely to a good start. Maybe meet some friends at the garage sale.

Strange, Take other peoples signs, Mark them up, If they sell you make out, If they don't you give them back. Why didn't I think of that.

Sorry, I re-read the first post and realize that this is not an auction. Still wondering who is running this sale? Not being difficult but I would want to know, exactly, the type of person that I am doing business with? There are a lot of folks out there that are not too reputable? " No fees to seller?"....sounds too good to be true? What guarantee does the seller have to sell his stuff and [get paid?] Or [get it back] if not sold.....if there is no contract with a monetary stipulation? Yes I charge 20 bucks per person . Owners price there item not me or staff. We put a description on two part tag and record item number.that's how we know who gets paid .No we do not mark sellers stuff up Really do the math 100 people times twenty is... that's 2000 bucks, a good day in my book!!! Better than minimum wage

Sounds like a good idea to me. Sellers price their own items, Like putting a reserve on the item at an Auction but no sales commission, and the buyer buys what he wants at the posted price, but no 20% buyers fee.!! Wish I was there! I'm sure I could save that $20 entry fee back on one sign, and I saw several that if priced right would be going home with me. Just my 2cents on the matter. Ed.

I like the concept,except it kinda sounds like the seller is hiding.
What if a seller prices a fake sign as real.
Buyer pays stated price,takes it home & discovers it wasn't as advertised,and wants refund.
Does the buyer have any retaliation or is he out of luck?
Who does the buyer contact?..you essco or the seller?
..and how does he find who the seller is?

Not a auction .but most auctions cary a invisible reserve .you don't got to hang around for hours to bid on item. Here you see the price, we do feild written offers to owners but it takes time for them to get back to me. And it might sell before they call me back.

Please note essco is not me, she is a consigner........ there are no fakes in this sale...and it's a shame a member cast a shadow ,,tread..the caterpillar and ford are the real deal but she no longer wants to sell them,but there here for anyone to inspect..

Next year's garage sale will have website etc advertising other than flyers etc . Ps early items will be listed with prices

In regards to cold pizzas comments ,,No major auction house sells with warrantys .... or tells who really owns items remember all Moores signs,I was under the impression they all was out of his collection...opps they wasn't though fyi

I can not get my head around the above statement that essco is not you but you posted and answered as if it was? Very confusing to a group who have had our share of fly by night sellers. I'm using her phone. My cell fell in someones trunk while helping load. There bringing it back tomarow morning. Just trying to clear up questions about my sale. Tomarow is last day 9 to 2pm . I keep checking my voice mail.returning calls as I check it.

to check you your voice mail : call your number and when the voice mail picks up you press the # and then enter your password. and to clarify this is not an auction it's basically a consignment event for advertising and signs. I want to thank everyone that showed up yesterday

Tom, Yes we are "old" but with age comes experience....for some. Call it common sense but this whole thing doesn't set well with me? Too many variables that have not been answered in an open fashion. Personally, I will pass on having anything to do with essco or ej simpson...."collector to col" or anyone else affiliated with this sale/auction....or whatever they are calling it today? Holy *****.....I just tried to read thru this thread and feel like I got left behind on a roller coaster that just doesn't stop. DB I sure miss you when threads go on and on without knowing who is using who's profile.
