For your consideration is this very early (1920's) Reverse painted and milk glass Sign Advertising: NATURE'S REMEDY Better than Pills For Liver Ills. This measures an impressive 25 1/2" X 19 1/2" and is lighted via 2 enclosed light sockets. The center is milk glass and was used to write the specials on it. This came out of an old country store and saloon in Indiana. This is an unrestored and unmolested piece that displays wonderfully and is rather unique in construction. The border appears to be copper while the concave back is tin and the sides are wood. It is made to display on a counter top or back bar and displays like an easel via it's original legs. The cord has been replaced. Presently, it has one red light bulb and does work. The RED lettering is very very nice with NO flaking while the vertical tombstones flanking each side are blue with some flaking as well as the lettering though it does not distract from it's legibility. All of the silvering to the main border and the letters is very nice. Overall, this presents wonderfully and would be tough to duplicate as these just didn't survive, especially those that were in the sunlight. Asking a very fair $875 + shipping. Happy to email additional high res pictures if helpful. Wonderful opportunity to own a very early lighted advertising piece from a country store. Jason 312-656-0700 or arvenica@gmail.com
