I'm not calling this seller a fake sign seller. I doubt he even knows. I just wanted to put out a warning to protect Oldgas members from bidding on this sign. These signs have become a real issue in the fake market, but I believe this sign is one of the fakes now being unknowingly recirculated within the hobby.
The pictures below are of a Sunoco corporate book from 1922 announcing this sign to the dealers. So they could purchase one if they wanted for their stations. The size stated, which I've blacked out, is not 22 x 17 as this seller states his sign is.
Also, the placement of the hole along the upper border is strangely placed.
Just my opinion.
Bid at your own discretion if you wish.
