This American 288 made my year! I don't know why I was the lucky one to get the call but I'm sure glad I did. It just came off a farm close to Des Moines. I marked it NFS at the show but I still got calls from all over the country wanting to know if it was for sale, word travels fast. The other items were things that just caught my eye and I had to have them..lol.

She's definitely a crusty one, but still pretty cool. I think this may be one of the Hi-speed transition signs after they were bought by Pure. Aprox 8ft x 3ft. Anyone seen this before or know anything about it?

I bought a collection of "GILMORE LIONS" employee magazines. There are some good pictures and stories in them.

My Iowa Gas buys in the first picture. The Wayne 615 visible came straight off of a farm that I found on my way home from Iowa. Boy I caught the guy at the right time and he let it go! It made my trip!

Tankar that Polarine sign is first rate. How old is it?

Dennis the Puente oil stuff is new to me. The badge is killer. Great design, logo and condition.

Nice pump Tom. I saw it in the photos of the Iowa gas show and that is certainly one I would have been interested in. Glad to see it went to a good home.

I would say the Polarine sign dates late 20's to early 30's and is a flanged sign. Thanks happy to get it.

Dennis...I've never seen that particular Gilmore sign before. Is it painted tin? Very catchy color combination, nice sign!

Not a "buy" but a garage find from my dad's estate. I explained in the new member forum that he was a D-X oil man so most of my stuff is D-X but thought this was pretty cool and thinking I'll hang on to it.

Hi, DXoilson. I was raised in Dubuque, Iowa. I believe Leader Oil Company dates back to at least 1915. Thanks for sharing the nifty sign. You're sure finding a number of nifty items in your dad's garage. Good memories for you, I'm sure. John
