That's Auburn, CA. Photo was taken from about the middle of what is now interstate 80, pointed building (old fire house) in the center of the photo was move back one block when they constructed the interstate. I've seen that photo before and it gives me hope that one of those Kelly tire signs will show up in my neighborhood one day. 
Wanted anything Flying A Gas, Signal Gas, Hancock oil co, and Sunland.

Great picture of this Mobilgas Ethyl globe. Love the Socony signs on top!! Would love one of them in my collection!

Couldn’t pass up posting this photo of a stone-encased Pump with the globe sitting atop the structure. Shellmex would make me think UK, as would stone architecture of this type.
