I have no idea what I'm doing so please bear with me. I am looking for any and all info any one can offer on restoring what we think is a Bowser C111 gas pump. Any info would be appreciated. I have a picture of what I think is the serial number and if anyone knows how to find out anything please let me know at bcazliz@shaw.ca and I'll send the picture. This pump when restored will go into our local Museum but we'd like to do it up to age perfect but want it eye catching as well.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Welcome. It might be best to post a picture of what you have to start the discussion.

I was going to send you to my webpage showing pictures, etc. on the Bowser pumps, but I never go to posing info on the C-111.

I have original sales literature, original installation literature.

Email me (jhsim@petrocollect.com) for more information.

Here is Liz's Bowser, looks like its in the Sentry Post family. Looked in Jacks book and it was not listed, maybe in his second edition.

Very cool pump.
The nozzle and nozzle holder are from a Canadian Clear Vision pump.

The Canadian bowser C111 is different than the US model. That is why I presume Jack never got it pictured,

Nice pump. Just my opinion here but if you cleaned that pump up, replaced the hose and then put a coat of paste wax on it it would be a better pump when you finished then if you "Restored" it.

Is it a tall ten? Or is it just the camera angle?

The glass is 31 1/8 inches high and 37 inches around
Total height of the pump as far as we can tell is 9' 6"
In the last day we have discovered it is probably a C77 pump
Thanks everybody for all your input. All information is helpful and very much appreciated.
Liz

Thanks for the nice comment. I think its pretty nice too and I have to admit it has become an obsession. The final decision on the finish will be up to the community. Personally I'm all about the "bling" but thanks for your comment. Comments like yours make me glad we saved it from the scrap heap.
