Hi All, I'm in the process of restoring a Bennett model 700 and I'm a little stumped on how to install a globe on top. My top does have a 6" hole, but didn't come with any mounting hardware. I've seen several different globe adapter kits from our vendors, but I was hoping someone could post some pictures of how the adaptors are mounted in place (I'm a bit of a visual learner).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If memory serves correct the globe holders should come with metal tabs that are threaded with the screws going through the holder. You loosen the screws so the tabs can swing away, place the holder on the top, reach up and in and hold the tabs so they catch on the pump's top. With your other hand, tighten the screws. This locks the holder to the top.

Another option is that there is a ring that bolts to the underside of the top, sandwiching the top.
