Good Evening Everybody,

I was wondering if folks who own either Clear Vision or Hayes Clock face gas pumps could post pics of their visi gauge and what model pump it goes to.

Thanks in advance,

If and when I ever get this 3rd Edition of the Gas Pump book printed, one of the new sections pictures approx. 175 outside sight glasses.

Let me interject something first. Recently someone asked me why did I use pictures from original factory literature instead of pictures of recently restored pumps. This is easy, the reason is that the factory pictures show, in this case, the original outside sight glasses, not replacement ones that someone put on because they wanted the pump back in service more than they wanted the "correct" sight glass on the pump. Who knows why certain things were added to pumps.

If you email me the model numbers of the pumps I post the sight glasses I determined to be the original ones used on the pump.

Thanks Jack for the info. I am looking forward to the new book. I loved the last two that you made and still reference them both. In fact the first edition has came apart at the binding due to referencing it so much. I also understand that the sales literature didn't get into specific detail and understand that was not the purpose to id pumps and every little knob and/or dial. I was just looking to see how many different versions of visi gauges came on Hayes and Clear Vision pumps. Thanks Jack for the info.

PS when is the deadline for pics for your book before it heads to the publisher?
