Chris, thanks for the phone call. As you said, I guess that we should have talked to each other befor it got to this. As for my previous appology, I failed to appologize to the administator and moderators of this site, for abusing my privleges here. Cheese.... Who's judging who. I think that it obvious who "Thou shall not lie" doesn't apply to. And sorry Brian, but weren't you the one that told me that I was right? Now is the Thunder Bashing done?
Anything Chevron I'd rather be flying.....

Just for the record, this image WAS a globe lense. This lense sold some time back and the seller stated it had been restored. I think our very own Dawn may have done it ?? Please compare this to the artwork Dwaine put the hours into. I have seen these lenses before in unrestored condition and they appear painted but not fired. Now that said, since so many of you have spoken for a set, I will make this democratic........................If the majority think the globe would be better without the red ring or with black lettering I will have Koz change it. It will requre another screen for the black but that is okay. I would still prefer to put property of Skelly Oil and the date on it. Dillo

So I work hard all day and then go out for a nice dinner with my wife. I come home to find the boys bouncing off the walls.
Let's all agree on something.
Certain people are ultra critical of certain other people. That criticism appears to be rooted more in past bad experiences than in graphic design differences or purist historical concerns.
Let's leave the baggage of by-gone ill feelings out of current discussions on Shop Talk.
There will always be different opinions on repro vs original or fantasy vs historically accurate. Globe collectors and pump restorers often see things in a vastly different way. There is room in the world for disagreement as long as we keep the discussion on a respectful level that doesn't get personal.
