So after two weeks of chompin at the bit, my friend called and we met to pick up this 866. Although it has been brush painted,it’s clean and straight! Have wanted one of these for a long time, and happy to add it to my collection! Might even sleep good tonight!
Looking for gas,oil related clocks, especially neon and spinners .clock repair available. Mick

Great news Mick, glad to hear it's finally in your possession! Even if it wasn't original paint, it's still a heckuva nice pump. I'd be happy if mine looked like that, lol..... Darin

Interesting Bob..... Does anyone know the approximate production numbers of the 866 model? According to a PCM Showcase article on the 60 models, a quote from a period Wayne advertisement states that over 35,000 units were manufactured in less than 2 years of production. I know this figure would include all the sub-models of the 60 series. I don't want this to take away from Mick's thread, but was curious. Darin

Jim,I’ve been wanting one forever, and just got lucky on this one, otherwise I probably never would’ve had one. Interesting pump. I’ve now found out that back in the day, there was a Pure station n Glencoe,IL where this pump came from. Although it’s got a brush paint job on it,it’s a very good one. Not just slopped on,almost as if done by a pro. And looking inside I found this written on the the reset side bottom panel.. makes me think this may possibly have come from that station. And thank you all...there’s a lot more thrill when you go and take the pump out yourself!
