Of course, on a road trip, one must make a few stops....

This was an old Frontier Station, as evidenced by the painted over sign, by the building that was next to this one.

Iowa Gas was my first big gas bash.... What a sight to see....

Just some of the stuff in the auction....

Stuff for everybody....

Even me......

But there was a bit of debate about this one. I said a Wayne 30, but DB said, that with only one meterface, it's a 15. Any other guesses?

But all that walking, in that heat, had me feeling as tired as a dog. I'll have more later....

There was quite a large diversity of items at the show. This one was kinda' cool for me as my Dad retired from Wonder Bread. Just in case anybody asks..... Thats not my Dad. Its another one of the Colorado gang. Larry "Street Rod" Biegler.

Nice gloss..... Not like anything of mine...

Even a Bennett "Fantasy" showcase...

And some of those "over detailed" lubesters, that some of us enjoy so much....

Thanks for posting the pics, Jeff. Looks like you had fun and saw lots of gr8 stuff. Liked the Smith Miller trucks and the old station. Where was the station? Glad you posted the pic of St. Rod as I'm going to pic up a flutted Revere lamp base from him on Friday and get to meet him.

The Frontier Station was in Sutherland Nebraska. Now, I'm torn between a canopy station, and that little cottage station, as an office for me.....

No... We were told that it was painted over, and that the "sign" was gone...

3 or 4 years ago it was only the frame there. They have since added some metal & painted a sign in.

DB is spot on! I spoke to the owners. The sign is long gone. It's only a piece of painted steel.
