The last discussion I could find on this sign was in 2012, so I am wondering if time has improved the ability to spot an authentic ETHYL GASOLINE CORPORATION sign. The first sign is an 7" and has the mounting holes on the sides (which is what the earlier discussion said was correct placement for that size?). The grommets are missing and the back is whitish with rack marks. The shelving is light with black the last color added. The second sign is an 8", looks newer, grommet holes are smaller and are at 10,2,6, heavier shelving, "cleaner" looking back and it is thinner.
What do you all think of these Ethyl signs now 6 years later? Either authentic?? Value is so?
Thanks!

I have both 7"and 8" ,they are originals and were found at separate times with a few of each at different oil bulk plants.the 7" ones are heavier ,may be older versions not sure .here are pics of both sides .
