Hello, all. I’ve had a long time interest in classic cars and automobilia/petrobilia but never did anything about either interest because of the fear of jumping in: cost, knowledge, fakes, how to find/store/maintain. I made the jump this year. I figured, we only live once.
I now own a 1973 Mustang convertible and a bunch of cool cans and signs. More of the latter to come; I’m banned from purchasing any more of the former.
I’m a story teller in public relations and enjoy imagining who put their hands on the Saphire, Vita Power or other oil cans to keep their families’ vacation drives moving, or the many who made the decision to use Oilzum motor oil in the 1960s because they saw the sign l own, or reflecting on how advertising once evoked emotion.
Anyway, thanks for having me. Looking forward to communicating with you and capitalizing on your collective collecting experiences.

Welcome! The history of these items, their purveyors and their users is what it’s all about, each with their own story and journey to make it into our hands decades later. Best of luck!
Looking for Michelin items + NJ oil company related items (Mohawk, Guardian, Whiz, etc) + animal-related petroliana + Gargoyle/Shell/Sinclair items
