I found this plastic gulf can I’m newer at this but how old is it and I haven’t seen another is it because they’re scarce or trash . And bonus bic pic. Thanks , Clint

For gulfiend . I still can’t find the can anywhere online and if no one here knows and my buddies don’t know I guess it’s a mystery.

by the zip code on the can it is '63 or newer .. ... cool

I believe these round plastic quarts were used for a very short period of time after the composite cans and before the flat quart came to use. The flat plastic quarts that we are familiar with today, made for more economical shipping of 12 or 24 quart cases.

...it’s from 1968...and I’m thinking they went back and forth between composite and plastic - or used them simultaneously, as I have a plastic quart dated 1963 or 1965, and I know they used them in the late 1970’s and early 80’s as well...


Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
