Dear fellow members...I really need your help. I have posted 4 pics of a 8”x12” Texaco Sky Chief PPP. Is it real or fake? What do you think? I really would appreciate your help.

appears too be a match, date on yours is the same as my curved version

one difference I see comparing is the F in chief..

I also looked at my 12”x18” and it is also has the “f” that matches. I guess there were 2 versions.

This post got me curious so I pulled all of the Sky Chiefs I could find. All of mine are the ‘short F’ version. Mine are 1945, 1947 and 1950.

I remember the good old days where you didn't have to worry about it being fake because you pulled it off the pump yourself.
This was the first pump I restored in 1988. Everything but the decal & globe & hose was all original including the rubber.
The hose was a new pump hose, not farm pump hose.
A $25.00 A-38 in the bed.....the good old days !!!!!
