Hi all! Wondering if anybody could give me a rough estimate of what my sign is worth. It’s a 5’ x 4’, single sided, painted tin, Phillips 66 sign. I’m guessing it’s from the late 30’s, since they were touting “Controlled Volatility” at that time. Thanks!

I’m surprised a lot of people haven’t chimed in. I cannot find and similar, vintage, painted Phillips signs anywhere online.

You will have a hard time getting quotes on a sign in poor condition whether its rare or not. Values seem to be pretty inconsistent with signs in this type of condition....Like Randy said value is minimal and you think it gold, so there you go.
Wanted early tin litho signage. petro, farm, auto, etc.

I’m just trying to get some idea of it’s value. I’m not sure what “minimal” means.

People are also not wanting to make you feel bad on their thought on value because of condition. The right guy will want it for a wall hanger, but certainly not for the center of a collection.

It's big, cool and a original and I can see someone wanting it around $200-300ish. It would make a great first sign to start off your collection with...
