hello i need help in identifying a gilbarco pump the model # is 996-16WS the serial# is 37408 i dont know anything about pumpa but this one dont seem ro have any advertising on it could it have just been a farm pump? it has all the guts inside and ther is a stamped plate on the side that say it was rebuilt with a gilbarco 996 kit any unfo would be greatly appreciated thank you all!!

According to the information I have that serial number indicates it was likely built mid 1950. Serial Numbers range from 29713 to 46404 for the 996 during the year 1950. Many of these pumps were rebuilt and relocated to other stations and farms during their existence. Welcome to OG. Neil

thank you neil, i really appriciate your help! do you know where i could find any photos of this pump? so i can find out what it looked like and what color it when it was new? and if it originally had any advertising on it? and i thought it was weird both the front and back have no glass inserts they or advertising on them? it looks like there might have been a cirlcle about 6 inches around under the glass on one side?

Click on "Pictures" on the menu near the top of this page. On that site, click "Gas Pumps" and select "Electric pumps 2" to see Electric Computing Gas Pumps 2 for Gilbarco photos.
