I am restoring an Erie 748 pump. The top has a cover over the area where globe should go but appears to be a "globe delete" plate. How can I remove this cover?
Thanks.
Bob

Can you post some pictures of what you are up against?

Usually accessible from underside. A couple of machine screws need to be removed. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Or if they’re rusty and won’t unscrew, I just touch em real quick with a grinder from the back side.

Hi Bob, just starting a restoration on a same pump. The delete plate can be removed by inserting s screwdriver under one side of the plate and prying. Mine came off right away. Denis
