Antique dealer I knew, estimated that at one time there were at least 5000 different soda pop operations at one time. Going to revisit one of the first bottles I posted.
Lived in the Seattle area for 45 years and now live in Everett. Everett population in the 40's 50's was 30 to 35K..If your into local history you may be surprised to find something

You were right. The Royal Crown, Orange Crush, O So Grape and many others are fake / fantasy. I learned after the makers kept poping up new ones (Dr Pepper Pabst etc) week after week. Lost about $1500 on some junk signs. Off my wall the fakes went.

Thanks for bringing this thread up again, somehow I missed it when it was first going.

You're right Tbirdgas on local bottlers. I've been on the board of the local Hillsdale County Historical Society for almost 23 years. We had a handful of local bottlers here in our town at the turn of the century. I have several different Hillsdale Bottling Works bottles in my personal collection, as well as Stone Bottling bottles. Our local Null's Dairy also had their own bottles for Green Spot soda, the one in my collection is the only one I've seen. The KING of local bottles, and I've never seen one, is a Coca Cola bottle with Hillsdale, MI embossed on the bottom as they did in the first 30-40 years at the turn of the century. The only example I was aware of locally was possibly lost in a house fire a couple years ago. I saw the homeowner and he said he wasn't sure if it was inside or outside of his fireproof safe that burned in the fire, they hadn't opened it yet when I saw him. For the last decade or more I turn over EVERY 6 ounce Coke bottle I see when I'm antiquing......I always keep up hope one of these times I'll see Hillsdale!!
