I saw this sign today. I thought about buying it, but I wanted to know more about it.
- what year
- where was its placement
- ball park value
-how was it mounted
If any body has any info it would be great.

I actually owned one years ago. I am going to guess early 1970s. They were used to post the price of the Fire Chief gasoline which was Texaco’s brand of regular. Smaller white number signs were mounted to the sign to display the price. Great sign to search for white number signs later to complete the display.

Fairly common…not porcelain…I see them every once and a while.
