Here is jar base to my fry 117 visible
I know the holes along the very outside edge is for the rods
There is a pair of holes that go through the inside lip. And a pair that in side the lip
I'm assuming that one pair is for the gallon markers?? Not sure wich pair that would be. But that would still a pair of in used holes??

Mine has three holes for markers too. I think your 3rd one might just be covered up or filled in with dirt

If there is to be 3 sets of markers the holes would be 120° from each other. I didn't see anything that would be in that area
I have seen pairs of markers on the outside on 2 of the 10 rods. But still don't explain the "extra" holes

Well seams the marker rod holes are 1/4 inch but the rods around the glass a 5/16 fits in them. I put a new 1/4 bolt in the holes and it's really loose
Wonder why the repo rods are 1/4"

I’m not sure…. But I think I recall someone saying they were a weird non standard size. But my memory isn’t what it used to be!

Rods are 1/4" square steel, with threaded end screwing into base, top of rod held in place with flat soft steel piece that has a square hole that slides over rod and is bent over the top ring on the globe before putting on the lid

That is different the 2 piece tops the threads stick thru the top and a nut goes on the rod and then you put the small center piece on the top

I can get the brass rods (along the outside)
in 1/4. Or 5/16 so that part don't really matter. But the 1/4 would be very loose in the holes

The repo alum dome top I have. Is not drilled(yet) for the 10 rods
On the underside has 3 raised square tabs that I'm assuming where the marker rods would go
On my other pumps. The marker rods had a adjustment on top to take up any slack
This set up does not. If the cork gasket and glass measurements was not dead on. What's to keep from cracking glass or marker rods from falling over inside? Also no way to hold any in place to set the dome on

You can not use a one piece top for internal rods on a two piece Once the rods are in place in the base holes and the top is on you can reach thru the 6" hole and adjust and tighten them two nuts per rod one under the top and one on top of the top
