Is it possible to date an Eco air meter by the serial number? I just bought a meter head and this is the tag off of it.

take your (highest latest) patent number and that should put you in the ballpark .. ...

Thanks for the information! I just did a quick patent search on the last number and it was filed in November of 1952.
Are the patent dates the only way to roughly date these meters?

1953. The first number of the serial number give you the month.
