Well here is another rookie restorer question. I have stripped down the pump (for restoration) to the frame and computer but having difficulty removing the computer. Any tips appreciated.

The key is to remove the side brackets attached to the frame first. I suspect you may have a sliding shaft that is frozen in place. Perhaps the attached photos will help.

Thank you for the picks. The side bracket on this side appears to be welded to the frame. Maybe put some heat on it where the shaft fits into the computer?

The side brackets should be bolted on. I would not apply heat to the computer. It is more likely the shaft is stuck in the side plate. Liberal doses of Kroil on both sides of the plate, let soak and then apply heat to the bracket till the shaft will slide.
