I found an old Virginia State Inspection sign that I think dates back to around 1950,
It is double sided and heavy metal.
The makers name “National Seal” is at the bottom of the sign.
Trying to find out some more information
Thanks

You could contact the Virginia Department of State Police historian, or their museum. I bet they have one. Of course, they might want to send someone to your house to get the sign back! John

From what I have found out so far they did retire
signs and discard them.
Thanks I will see if I can get in touch with the
State Police historian
