Hi. Thanks for your input on the Sunoco and Texaco signs.
I sold them.
Anyway I need help with this Cities Service Sign. I haven't been able to find too many like it. It is @ 51 tall and 46 wide.
Opinions as to value? I was offered $1000sight unseen so I thought maybe that was a little light.
Thanks.

Unusual sign, not an expert but feel $1000.00 is a light offer, maybe $1500.00 would be closer.
What do others think?

Here we go again, gang! John What's that mean? It is a value forum right? I think what John means is that you've asked for values on a number of signs, but have not offered them for sale here on Oldgas.com, reporting that some were sold elsewhere. That's kind of like stopping at a gas station to get free directions, then crossing the street to fill your tank at a different station. How does that make the guy at the first station feel when he doesn't get a shot at your business?

Hello Mike,
As I mentioned in a prior post to a different OG member looking for a sign value. It is your sign and you do have several options. Might I suggest IF you are planning to sell the sign, determine a fair value that you would accept and sell it on OG as an auction to the highest bidder, with any amount over your "fair price" going to offset some of the operating costs of this site. I am sure Jim Oldgas Potts can help with the logistics of making that happen.
Good Luck. Neil in Green Bay, WI

Well I sold two very big lighted signs locally that I preferred not to ship. They would have been expensive to ship. I say again the particular forum says nothing about selling here after getting opinions as to value.
Someone should have said I should list them here plus shipping if that is the norm. This sign is big but not heavy and will be reasonable to ship if I so chose. Of course, if and when I sell it will be here when it's something that is reasonable to ship with a portion going to the site. Gotta establish a value first
Now what is you opinion as to value lolol.
Thanks for your reply.

Mike, there is a significant difference between having an opinion and having an informed opinion. I will let the other OG members respond IF they so choose. Again Good Luck
