Hello everyone thank you for all the great participation last month! There has been a lot of great pumps found out there in the wild and a lot still out there waiting to be found.
For November POTM, I am doing the Hayes AX-600 models.
The Hayes AX-600 models were manufactured by the Hayes Pump Company out of Wichita, KS. Hayes made a handful of awesome art deco clockface pumps, but one of the most desirable models is the AX-600. These pumps are loaded with art deco features and really highlighted the early and late 1930’s. Hayes distributed mostly in the Midwest, but they also had a distribution center way out west in California.
There were three different models of the Hayes AX-600 produced in the early 30’s. Both versions could have came with either the early style too or the late style too which is the more art deco top. These pumps also came with two different styles of faces.
Hayes AX-600 - clockface, non cash recorder, came with early or late top.
Hayes AX-600C - clockface, cash recorder, came with early or late top.
This is my AX-600C with the early top I picked up about 2 hours from my home in Kansas. Not to far from where it was made. Enjoy everyone and please add to the post if I forgot to mention something! Thank you and have a good November! Happy Thanksgiving!
