Hello everyone and thanks for the add. To be honest right up front, I do not specifically collect this type of memorabilia, however, I do like tools, and collect them. I find lots of old (antique/vintage) tools at local estate auctions, and even make a weekly tool video on youtube. I can usually figure out what the tool is called and what it's used for. But every now and then one stumps me! Like this one. There is no markings on the one I have, but I found others on ebay for sale that look Identical, (raised casting marks) Moore & Kling inc, Boston, 2273 (and a light stamped mark) 186... They label them as hammer wrenches, or combo wrenches... After finding the end of google, and even scrubbing these forums, I have not yet found the purpose of this wrench. Some of the pintrest, ebay and worthpoint discerptions mention a gas station tool from the 1910-1930 era, but I don't know. I was thinking maybe for older oil barrels? (why would this thing have that little prybay on it?) Any help with this would be much appreciated.

The wrench opening reminds me of a milk bulk tank wrench to get the nut off to drain tank. But the other parts hammer ect maybe to take out a plug of some sort.

Or possibly a wrench for a kind of hydrant

One on Etsy backside states “SOCoT “ Google that and it said they made construction equipment for dams so assuming bridges also ?

Yeah, there seems to be a couple different names, (the one I have is unmarked, then the one you mentioned "SOCoT" and the Moore & Kling versions. I've found the tool using google image searches on etsy, pintrest, ebay and worthpoint (probably a few others i'm missing). But the descriptions are all pretty much the same. The search for truth continues!

Any other ideas folks???
