I'm an old car guy and don't have much knowledge on values of old gas pumps.
My Dad collected and restored a few gas pumps before he passed, including this Gilbert & Barker pre visible. I've seen a couple of ads on eBay for incomplete and unrestored pre-visible pumps and parts. Any help on what the value and model number would be appreciated.
Gilbarco T88. I believe most previsibles are not as appealing to the eye as their successors thereby limiting value. I just purchase the same pump in decent but no paint/rusted surface for $200 at a local auction. Morphy's Auction has sold a few over the last couple of years. Go to their website and check their Petrolinia auctions. Use the online catalogue to see final prices. Once you are in the catalogue click on the "pumps" filter and all the pumps in that auction will show up, as well as selling bid. Bob
Hey Bob, thanks very much! That is a great resource for viewing final sales prices. I will review their many past auctions for final sales prices as comps. Dad also left three restored visibles 10 Gallon tanks and agree that they have a more desirable look. Thanks again for leading me to this resource. Best Regards, David
