Hi All,

Looking to see if anyone can inform me if this Tydol Visible Pump Plate is real or repop??

When I viewed the pictures before buying the pump plate it looked like a Glossy Porcelain...when it arrived of course I was surprised to find a "Chalky Matte Porcelain". I know this does happen to some porcelain but I have never come across one before. Hopefully the quality of the photo shows the porous and pocked marked porcelain. Also, there are spots where the rust looks new and fresh with a bright orange color. I'm also not liking how the deteriorated metal sections have been broken off...I like to see bare crusty metal with dark patina on these old pieces! Lastly, the quality of the lines are poor. Some of the lines are uneven and not straight or consistent.

The Tide Water Oil logo looks correct to me. There is shelving on the sign but its like it has been sanded down. The black color, which is the last color applied, is a very thin layer of porcelain. And the only other thing that looks somewhat correct is the one grommet that survives.

Is this a India or Chinese product?
Thanks for your expertise on the subject matter!

Thank you! Last night the thought of Extreme Conditions did pass through my mind! Over time, the weather could act as sand blasting??? The back of the pump plate is glossy but pock marked with rust. The size, shape, and logo seem to all match...thanks for the pic!
With your info I'm feeling a little better about my curved pump plate.
