Hello all, I am in the process of restoring a double lubester and two smaller grease/oil tanks. I have read that one of the best resources for early lubester identification and tips for restoration comes from Jack Sims 1st Edition of the Gas Pump Identification book, published around 2002 I think. In lieu of the first edition, I could also use the 2nd edition as it contains less on lubesters but still has some good info. Any assistance in directing me to either of these books is appreciated! Regards, Ken (image for attention only, not for sale)

I’ll look & see, it might have identification but none of Jacks books have restoration tips or paint colors or sign or decal locations, for pumps or lubsters.

I just typed in "double lubester restoration pics" in my internet browser then hit the image tab and came up with a kazillion images.

There was no guiding set of paint scheme on these things technically. Company ops probably had some standard schemes, but there were also a ton of jobbers that set their dealers up with them ... and service station operators I'm sure painted over them often as well.

Look through pics and go with what you like is what I would do. Can't really go wrong.
